Dry Ice for Events & Catering

Every Effect. Every Event. One Delivery.

Fog-covered dance floor or a buffet held at temperature: we bring same-day dry ice delivery to events across Miami and South Florida. Need coolers too? See our coolers and gel packs.

Stage & Floor Fog

That thick white cloud is not smoke — it’s carbon dioxide gas. When dry ice sublimates straight from solid to gas, it reacts with moisture in the air and creates the dense, low-lying fog used for entrances, first dances and stage moments.

Smoking Cocktails & Beverages

Food-grade pellets turn a drink into a moment — steaming glasses, smoking dessert plates, dramatic reveals. Keep the dry ice in its own vessel near the drink, never inside it.

Weddings

The ceremony entrance, the first dance, the grand exit — dense floor-level fog that dissipates clean and leaves no residue behind.

Nightclubs & Discos

Continuous floor fog for DJ sets and packed dance floors, coordinated for delivery ahead of your doors.

Film, Theater & Live Productions

Controlled atmospheric effects for shoots, plays and live performances. We help you plan the format and timing scene by scene.

Catering & Corporate Events

Cold display preservation through multi-hour service and buffet transport from kitchen to table. Food-grade dry ice, safe near — never inside — the food.

The Science

How Dry Ice Fog Actually Works

No machines. No mystery. Here’s what’s happening when you see that cloud roll across the floor.

01

The science is simple

Dry ice is solid CO₂ at −78.5°C (−109.3°F). Drop it in warm water and it sublimates — solid straight to gas — turning surrounding water vapor into that thick white cloud hugging the floor.

02

Pellets are the right format

Pellets have more surface area than blocks — faster sublimation, more fog, faster. Easier to portion by hand and refill through the event. For fog effects: always pellets.

03

The setup is minimal

A heat-resistant container + warm water + pellets = instant fog. Control intensity by how much ice you add and how often. No rented gear, no rigging, no venue approval in most cases.

04

Handle it safely

Use insulated or leather gloves — never bare skin. Keep basic ventilation active (HVAC or a cracked door). The fog is non-toxic, leaves no residue, and simply evaporates.

Your Questions Answered Before You Ask

Safety

Is indoor dry ice fog safe for guests?

Yes, with basic ventilation active — keep HVAC running or a door cracked, and never run fog in a fully sealed room. The fog itself is non-toxic and leaves no residue.

Handlers must use insulated gloves and never touch dry ice with bare skin — guests never contact the ice itself, only the fog.

Cleanup

How do we dispose of leftover dry ice after the event?

Place any leftover dry ice in a well-ventilated area and let it sublimate on its own. Never dispose of it in a sewer, garbage disposal, or garbage chute, and never seal it in an airtight container or small unventilated space.

FAQ

Dry Ice for Events & Catering

Straight answers for event planners, caterers and production teams.

How much dry ice do I need for a fog effect?
It depends on your space, the effect you want, and how long the event runs. Use our Dry Ice Calculator for a venue-specific estimate, or contact us and we’ll help you size the order.
Is dry ice safe for food and cocktails?
Yes. food-grade dry ice is safe in food and beverage service when handled correctly. For smoking cocktails, place dry ice in a separate vessel and direct the fog into the glass — never put solid dry ice in a drink to be consumed. For displays, keep it in an insulated container alongside (not touching) the food. All Sub-Zero dry ice is food-grade.
Do you deliver to event venues?
Yes — directly to venues, caterers, and production locations across South Florida, as fast as 1 hour within our coverage zone. Contact us with your venue and timing, or see the full delivery details.
How long does dry ice last once delivered?
In a standard insulated cooler, dry ice sublimates at roughly 5–10 lbs per 24 hours. For events, use it within a few hours of delivery for maximum fog. Store in an insulated (not airtight) cooler in a ventilated area. For long events, schedule a timed delivery or stage multiple coolers.
Do I need special equipment for fog effects?
No special equipment for basic floor fog — a heat-resistant container and warm water alongside the pellets is all you need. For sustained, high-volume effects over a multi-hour event, pre-stage multiple containers and a supply to replenish in batches for reliable control all night.
Can caterers use dry ice to keep food cold safely?
Yes. food-grade dry ice is a standard tool for cold display preservation, buffet transport, and temperature-controlled presentations. Place it in an insulated container beneath or beside trays — never in direct contact with food, never in a fully sealed container (CO₂ must vent). Handlers use insulated gloves. Contact us for your specific setup.
